The OBO media poles have a flexible and modular structure. They combine individual equipment options with the simple integration of centrally controlled systems. The ideal basis for meeting the needs of modern classrooms.
This includes the securing of electrical systems, individual light control, information available from central communication and emergency call systems, through to displaying the time.
This means that all the installation requirements for modern learning have been implemented in a carefully thought-out and expandable manner. This makes the OBO media poles the ideal solution both for new buildings and for the renovation of classrooms and training rooms.
Overview of the OBO media pole
- Adaptable: Height compensation possible for room heights of 2,820 to 3,315 mm using ceiling panel
- Material: Powder-coated steel
- Colour: RAL 9010 as standard, many other RAL colour variants possible

Freely configurable with countless options
The OBO media pole is both fully configurable and also available in a preconfigured variant.
The freely configurable variant is characterised by countless selection options, meaning it can be adapted individually to the requirements of the appropriate classroom or training room.
In this variant of the OBO media pole, the following elements are freely configurable:
The ceiling panel can be adapted for variable height compensation, whilst the acoustic panel can be individualised, for example for the installation of a loudspeaker.
Directly beneath the acoustic panel is an empty panel which, according to requirements, can be fitted with a clock, for example.
If so required, the media pole can be equipped with one or two low-voltage distributors.
The device for an optional emergency intercom is just as much a part of the configurable equipment of the media pole as the lockable and individual distributor panel door.
The lower section of the media pole contains a seat for switch and plug-in devices, which are inaccessible behind a lockable door.
Switch and plug-in devices can also be located in the lockable door using standard device sockets.
Preconfigured and available at short notice
Besides the freely configurable media pole, it is also available as a preconfigured variant with standard equipment in the standard colour RAL 9010.
The benefit: This variant of the media pole can be delivered at particularly short notice and is ready for use in classrooms and training rooms. In the preconfigured variant, the media pole is comprised of:
- A height compensation panel, which is available in three variants
- An acoustic panel – available in blank, hole-punched or perforated versions
- Two low-voltage distributors
- A lockable distributor panel door
- Seat for three switch and plug-in devices (inaccessible behind the device panel door)
- A lockable device panel door, which can be partially individualised to accept switch and plug-in devices using standard device sockets
As standard, the base of the preconfigured media pole contains:
- Two M25 separable cable glands
- Two LK4 80040 wiring trunking vertically on the side walls
- Two distribution boxes, each with 36 part units
- Two C profile rails to accept loudspeakers
- A vertical DIN rail in the acoustic panel
- Six fastening brackets for wall fastenings
- A device support to accept three installation sockets in the device panel
- A panel for exiting cables under the device panel door
